​Reperformance of original performance piece One hundred papers one paper by Brazilian artist Izidório Cavalcanti at the closing of our collective exhibition Opacidade Ressonante at Galeria Tato, São Paulo, Brazil | August 2025

Izidorio, whose works were also part of Opacidade Ressonante, is hearing impaired. During his performance, when he tears the paper, he doesn't hear it tearing. Only the observers hear the sound of the paper being ripped. This performance was also symbolic because the same group of artists part of this exhibition would also exhibit in Lisbon, at Galeria Verso, in November 2025. The torn papers symbolize the displacement of these artists, curators and gallerists from São Paulo to Lisbon.
