NOTE The work on this site is organised in two ways. By Series, the work follows the research: each series is a body of enquiry, growing out of the one before it. This is the main way to navigate the practice. By Medium offers a second entry point, for anyone who wants to explore the work through the materials and forms it takes: object, installation, painting, performance, photography, video. A single series can move across several mediums. A medium can carry several series. The two ways of looking are not contradictory. They are complementary. The medium follows the research. Always.
These series are not separate. They are the same question asked in different forms: what does it mean to be human and conscious in a contemporary digital world? The research deepens and expands from one series to the next.
Childhood Games (2025, ongoing) rebuilds the toys of childhood from contemporary materials and the debris of our devices.
Amplify (2023, ongoing) transforms everyday instants into spaces of presence. Filmed on a handheld phone camera, without tripod, each 90-second video is an act of attention: a single frame held on the breath, and the imperfection of the hand left in it.
Kitsch Glitz (2023) looks at the perfection social media promises, where influencers have become the idols of our time. The sacred beside the mundane, sophistication beside excess.
Portraits (2010, ongoing) investigates the representation of what transcends physical form and manifests as energy, presence, and essence. Acrylic and collage on linen, built in layers until the surface carries weight.
Flags (2008, ongoing) are portraits of places and people. Each flag is a living image capable of holding a place, a person, and a history at once. Each is born from the same practice: listening.
